SPECIFICATIONS AND INFORMATION HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION OIL
HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION OIL
- EUROPE
Use the following oil viscosity based on the air
temperature range. Operating outside of the
recommended oil air temperature range may cause
premature hydrostatic transmission failure.
IMPORTANT: ONLY use a quality SAE 10W-30
engine oil in this transmission. DO NOT mix any
other oils in this transmission. DO NOT use
BIO–HY–GARD® in this transmission.
The following John Deere oil is PREFERRED:
• TORQ-GARD SUPREME®—SAE 10W-30.
Other oils may be used if above recommended John
Deere oils are not available, provided they meet one of
the following specifications:
• CCMC Specification G4 or higher.
John Deere Dealers: You may want to cross-
reference the following publications to recommend the
proper oil for your customers:
• Module DX,ENOIL2 in JDS–G135;
• Section 530, Lubricants & Hydraulics, of the John
Deere Merchandise Sales Guide.
