Removable Media Device Blank
IMPORTANT: To install a removable media device or a hard drive for the first time, the removable
media device blank must be removed from an available removable media bay.
To remove a removable media device blank from the front chassis:
1. Complete the preparation procedures. Refer to “Preparation Procedures” earlier in this
chapter.
2. Open the bezel door. Refer to “Bezel Door” earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” earlier in this chapter.
4. Push up on the drivelock to release the device blanks (1).
5. Gently pull the appropriate blank completely out from the front of the chassis (2).

To replace the media device blank, reverse steps 2 through 5.
