Click • (Rec to Jukebox).

Recording starts.

If "Select Playlist" dialog box appears in the display

If any of the songs selected (checked .v]) in step 3 are from a CD that was previously
recorded to another playlist, the "Select Playlist" dialog box appears.

[Start Reel button

• If you want to create a new Playlist, click [Create a New Playlist) and enter the name

of the Playlist you want to create.

• If you want to add the songs to an existing Playlist, click [Add to Playlist) and select

the Playlist from the drop-down list.

Click [Start Rec) to start recording.

To abort recording

Click ■ (Rec Stop).

The recording is aborted. To resume the recording, click • (Rec to Jukebox) again.
When the recording is resumed, it starts from the beginning of the song that was previously
aborted.

'^'About Bit Rates

In OpenMG Jukebox, the bit rate (page 37) for recording an audio CD can be chosen from 132
kbps/105 kbps/66 kbps. The sound quality and the size of the recorded data after the
conversion will be different depending on the selected bit rate. A higher value makes the
sound quality better, but the size of the recorded data will be bigger.
The recording mode of songs checked-out to a Net MD will differ according to the bit rate that
you select, as follows;

• 105 or 132 kbps - LP2
• 66kbps-LP4
LP2 mode provides higher sound quality than LP4, but the recordable time is shorter (i.e., a
fewer number of recordable tracks) due to the larger data size of the recorded tracks.
