Recording a picture
When you shoot a subject with the light source behind the subject or a subject with a
light background, use die backlight functi6n.
Press BACK LIGHT in the recording or standby mode.
The 3 indicator appears in the viewfinder.
To cancel, press BACK LIGHT again.

If you press EXPOSURE when shooting backlit subjects
The backlight function will be canceled.
The NightShot function enables you to shoot a subject in a dark place. For example, you
can satisfactorily record the.enviroranent of nocturnal animals for observation when
you use this function.

While your camcorder is in the standby mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to ON.

Press START/STOP to start recording.
@ and "NIGHTSHOT" indicators flash in the viewfinder. To cancel the
NightShot function, slide NIGHTSHOT to OFF.
