Labeling a CD
— Disc Memo
(CD changer with the custom file function)
You can label each disc with a personalized
name. You can enter up to eight characters for
a disc. If you label a CD, you can locate the
disc by name (page 23) and select the specific
tracks for playback (page 24).

Play the CD and press (

Enter the characters.

Rotate the dial clockwise to select the
desired characters.

If you rotate the dial counterclockwise,
the characters appear in the reverse
order.
If you want to put a blank space
between characters, select (under
bar).
i Press ® (—►) after locating the
desired character.
The flashing cursor moves to the next
space.

If you press (T) (<—), the flashing cursor
moves to the left.

To return to normal CD playback mode,

Tip
To erase/correct a name enter
(under-bar) for each

Displaying the disc memo name or '
CD-TEXT name
When you play back a CD-TEXT disc, you can
set the priority display item to be the disc
memo name or the CD-TEXT name.

during CD-TEXT disc
playback.

Press d} (SET UP) repeatedly until "Disc
MEMO" or "TEXT name" appears.

Press ® (—►) to select "Disc MEMO" or
"TEXT name."

Press
(SHIFT).
After the mode setting is complete, the
display goes back to normal playback
mode.
If you want to change to the other setting, you
can do so in step 3.
Displaying the disc memo name
Press (
DSPL)
during CD or CD-TEXT disc
playback.

as follows:

When you connect an optional CD changer with the
CD-TEXT function, the personalized label or the
CD-TEXT disc name appears. See below to change
the display.
