HP PhotoSmart Printer User’s Guide

1. Shut down Windows and turn the computer oFF.

2. Connect the printer to the computer,

using a paraLLeL cable.

3. Plug in the printer, using the power cord

that came in the package.

4. On the printer Front panel, press the

Power button to turn the printer on.

5. Turn on the computer.

6. Install the printer soFtware. See the soFtware instaLLation instructions (included

separateLg) For details.

Using a USB port

IF \ou are using Windows 98 and \our computer has a USB port, \ou can connect

the printer to the computer using USB.

Note: You will need a USB cable to connect the HP PhotoSmart printer to \our

computer’s USB port. This cable must be purchased separateLg.

1. Connect the printer to the computer,

using a USB cable.

2. Plug in the printer, using the power cord

that came in the package.

3. On the printer Front panel, press the

Power button to turn the printer on.
