Engine fails to start

1.

Blade control lever engaged.

1.Disengage blade control lever

2.

Parking brake not engaged.

Engage parking brake.

3.

Spark plug wire{s) disconnected.

3.Connect wire(s) to spark plug.

4.

Choke not activated

Pull out the CHOKE control

5.

Fuel tank empty, or stale fuel.

Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline.

Blocked fuel line.

Clean fuel line or replace fuel fitter

Faulty spark plug.

Clean, adjust gap or replace sparkplug.

Engine runs erratic

Unit running with CHOKE applied.

Push CHOKE control in.

Connect and tighten spark plug wire.

Blocked fuel line or stale fuel.

Clean fuel line; fill tank with fresh gasoline.

Vent in gas cap plugged.

Engine overheats

Walt until grass is dry to cut.
