OPERATION

BLOWER OPERATION

To Preven! Personal Injury or Property Damage:

• Cutting blades begin to rotate when the engine
starts and slow down gradually after the engine is
shut off. Do not allow hands or any other part of the
body or clothing inside the vacuum hose opening,
blower discharge opening, shipper chuie, or near any
moving part,
• Before inspecting, cleaning, or servicing the

machine, stop the engine and make sure that ail
moving parts have come to a complete slop.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and secure it away
from the spark piug.
• To avoid personal injury or property damage, keep

clear of the blower discharge area. Material exits at

high speed from the blower deflector.

• Review all of the rules in the Safety Section of this

Manual,

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE CHIPPER IF THE

MACHINE IS SET UP FOR BLOWER OPERATION.

THE VACUUM INLET CAP MUST BE INSTALLED

DURINQ BLOWER OPERATION.

OPERATION

1. Prepare the unit for blower operation by following the
assembiy steps on Page 12.
2. Blower Operation begins in the processing chamber
where fan blades attached to the flywheel create a
suction which draws air from underneath the machine,
Air flows through the chamber and is propelled out
through the blower deflector.
3. To stop the machine, move the Engine Control Lever

all the way to the feif (toward turtle position) until it stops.

4. Listen for all moving parts to come to a complete

stop. There is an audible, distinct sound produced as
the cutting blades slow down Wait for this sound to stop

before inspecting, servicing, or changing the operating
mode of the machine.

IMPORTANT; IF THE MACHINE JAMS OR CLOGS,

IMMEDIATELY STOP THE ENGINE AND MAKE SURE

THAT ALL MOVING PARTS HAVE COME TO A

COMPLETE STOP. DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG
WIRE AND SECURE IT AWAY FROM THE SPARK
