• The camera is switched to underwater mode when it is lowered into water.
• The camera automatically selects the focus area for autofocus in accordance
with the composition. The camera detects and focuses on faces (see "Using
Face Detection" (CDCS) for more information).

Notes on Easy Auto Mode
• When the digital zoom is in effect, the shooting mode is set to WiM.
• The desired scene mode may not be selected in certain conditions. In this case, select another
shooting mode.
C Note after Taking the Camera out of the Water
After taking the camera out of water, sometimes it may not automatically switch to another scene
from underwater mode.
Gently brush any water droplets with your hand from the camera or wipe it off with a soft and dry
cloth. See "Cleaning after using the camera underwater" (CXlxiii) for more information on caring for
the camera.
Changing £1 (Easy Auto) Mode Settings
• See "Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector" (IID.S3) for more
information on flash mode (CDSd), self-timer ([X|56), and exposure
compensation (CDSS).
• Functions that can be set using the lENU button:
The combination of image size and image guality (image mode) can be set
using the lENU button (CDCl).
