Taking Night-time Shots of People
When taking shots of sunsets or night
time shots of people against a back
ground, set the command dial to Av
(Aperture-priority AE). When taking
flash pictures with the aperture value
on a lower setting, the flash illuminates
the subjects, while the background is
also captured clearly because of the
slow shutter speed. This is called Slow
Syncro Photography.
