Operation of the THP216 Alarm

After setting up your personal password, please practice ARMING and DISARMING the alarm, and testing the Cable Lock
and Vibration alarms.

NOTE: The Cable Lock is ALWAYS ARMED. When the Cable Lock is cut or the Cable is pulled, there is no way to stop
the alarm with a password. The Cable Lock Pin must be pushed back into the normal position.

ARMING AND DISARMING

To “ARM” the THP216 Alarm:
Press the red “P“ button twice. You will hear a series of 3 beeps, along with the light blinking. After 5 seconds the alarm
will be “ARMED”. When the alarm is ARMED, the LED light will flash every 2-3 seconds.

To “DISARM” the THP216 Alarm:
When the alarm is “ARMED”, and there is no alarm sounding, simply press the “P” button, then enter your password. You
will hear 3 quick beeps, indicating the alarm is DISARMED.

When the alarm is “ARMED” and triggered (alarm is sounding), just enter your password on the keypad to DISARM. After
you enter the password, you will hear a long extended beep, indicating the alarm is DISARMED.

Cable Lock and Panic Button

The Cable Lock can be hung on a door knob or handle, or can be run through a strap on luggage, purses, briefcases,
bicycles, etc. You can unscrew the Cable Lock (left side), attach the THP216 Alarm to desired property or item, and then
screw the cable lock back in place. When the right side of the Cable Lock is pulled, the alarm will sound until the lock-pin
is pushed back in. It’s a good idea to pull the Cable Lock pin a few times to see how it works, remember to push the lock-
pin back in as you can’t disable the alarm any other way.

The Cable Lock alarm cannot be disabled or disarmed with a password. The alarm will always be triggered when
the Cable Lock is pulled.

The THP216 Alarm can also be used as a personal alarm. The Cable Lock can go around your wrist like a bracelet, or can
be carried anywhere or attached to clothing or accessories. At any time if you press and hold the “P” (Panic Button), the
alarm will sound for 30 seconds or until the password is entered.

Vibration Alarm

There is an ON/OFF switch on the back of the THP216 Alarm which controls whether the Vibration Alarm is on or off.
Make sure to set the Vibration switch to “ON” before ARMING the THP216 Alarm, if the Vibration Alarm option is desired.

Once ARMED with the Vibration switch set to “ON”, as soon as a vibration is detected there will be a short 2 second
WARNING ALARM. The unit will wait 2 more seconds, and if another vibration is detected in the next 10 seconds it will
sound the alarm for 30 seconds. You can disable this alarm by entering the password. If a 2

nd

vibration is NOT detected

in the 10 seconds following the WARNING ALARM, it will go back to the normal ARMED mode and sound a short
WARNING ALARM if a vibration is detected after that, and the sequence will repeat.

VIBRATION ALARM SEQUENCE:
First Vibration detected = 2 second WARNING ALARM
Second Vibration detected within 2 – 12 seconds of WARNING ALARM = 30 second ALARM

Battery Compartment Alarm

If the THP216 is ARMED and the battery compartment screw is removed, the alarm will sound for 30 seconds, or until the
password is entered. This alarm will only be triggered when the THP216 is ARMED.
