Auto Verify On/Off
If this option is "On", full verification will be
executed automatically after a copy from a
memory card or USB device. Choosing this
option doubles the copy/backup time. Use
a (L)ong stroke (press the COPY key for
more than 1 second) to change this option.
Change Power Off Time
The Nexto-eXtreme automatically powers off if it is not used for a
certain amount of time. The factory setting is 30 seconds. You can
select either 15/30/60 seconds from this menu.

11. Charging and Installing Batteries
A "LiPo" (lithium-polymer) rechargeable battery is included in the Nexto-eXtreme. This
battery can be recharged before its charge has been completely drained. Furthermore, it is
more powerful than conventional NiCad and NiMH rechargeable batteries.
The Nexto-eXtreme needs a small quantity of current at all times. Recharge the battery
completely, about once a month, so the device will be ready for use at all times. If the
battery fails, see the chapter on "Battery Disposal".
It is possible to charge the battery via a USB connection (without the AC
power adapter.) A USB connection with its own power supply (such as the USB
port of a computer or a USB hub with power unit) would be needed. The
Nexto-eXtreme must be turned off in order to charge the battery using a USB
connection. If the Nexto-eXtreme is used with a laptop, then you must always
use the AC power adapter unit to charge the Nexto-eXtreme, since some
laptops cannot deliver the necessary current via USB.
The battery can be charged using the AC power adapter cable included in this product.
1. Connect the charger’s wall plug to the Nexto-eXtreme’s "DC IN" connection.
2. Plug the AC power adapter unit into a wall socket.
3. The LED on the Control (COPY) key shows red when the battery is charging.
4. When the battery is charged, the red LED turns off.
5. If there is an error during charging, the LED blinks. If this happens, unplug the AC adapter
unit and plug it in again.
6. If the optional external battery is connected to the "BAT" connector, both the internal and
external batteries will be charged at the same time.
7. If the battery is completely drained, the charging procedure will take approximately 5
hours.
Damaging the rechargeable battery or its wrapping might cause an explosion or
fire. Never short circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Never touch
connections or electric components inside the Nexto-eXtreme with metal
objects.
Auto Copy On/Off
If this option is “On”, data “COPY” will
automatically begin 5 seconds after the
insertion of a memory card or USB device.
Use a (L)ong stroke (press the COPY key for
more than 1 second) to change this option.
Auto Move On/Off
If you turn on “Auto Move”, data will be automatically copied from
any device you attach to the Nexto-eXtreme. The data will be
verified (doubling the copy time) and the data on the peripheral
device will be deleted.
If this option is “On”, data “MOVE” will be automatically started 5
seconds after the insertion of the memory card or USB device.
Use a (L)ong stroke (press the key for more than 1 second) to
change this option.
The “Auto copy” option and “Auto move” option cannot be “ON” at the same
time.
