First-time Operation

Read the steps below to help you leam what parts are included, and to gain an understanding of

some basic computer-related operations.

Confirm the inclusion of all parts

Make sure the parts shown in the figure have been supplied. If any of these items are

missing or is not working properly, contact Panasonic Technical Support.

Write down the Product Key or Product ID

The Product Key or Product ID is necessary during the setup procedure for Windows
(G* pages 11,25). Write down the number shown on the “Certificate of Authenticity”

located on the bottom of the computer in the “Customer’s Record” section on page 2

of this manual.

Read the LIMITED USE LICENSE AGREEMENT

(o-page 28)

Before removing the seal covering the power switch, read the LIMITED USE LI­

CENSE AGREEMENT.

Insert the battery pack

(T)

Turn your computer over.

@ Slide the latch, and then without releasing it, slide and remove the cover.

@ Put the battery pack into the computer and firmly attach the pack to the connector.

@ Match the mark on the cover to the body of the computer and slide the cover back

into place. Be sure the tab does not get caught when closing the cover.

If the cover is not attached properly, the battery may fall out while the com-
