Making Voice Contact after Sending/Receiving

You may want to talk to the other person over the telephone after sending or receiv-

ing documents. To do so, perform Step 1 while the machine is still sending or receiving.

When sending or receiving is over and the other party replies with Voice Con­

tact request, you will hear a beep-beep-beep sound coming through the
speaker.

When the TEUDIAL lamp starts blinking, lift the handset.

The TEL/DIAL lamp goes off.

Talk.

Answering a Voice Contact Request

When you hear a beep-beep4ieep sound coming through the speaker, it means you

are receiving a voice contact request. Reply by following the above procedure from

Step 3. If no one replies to the voice contact request, the message “VOICE
CONTACT REQUESTED.” Is printed out on the Transmission Journal (see page 54).
