when!50!samples!have!been!measured!since!the!last!rinse!the!NucleoCounter!also!suggest!
that!a!Rinse!should!be!performed.!In!this!case!the!status!is!only!removed!if!Rinse!is!
performed.!!

5.3.3 Clean-Button-
The!clean!button!is!used!to!perform!cleaning!of!the!flow!system.!This!is!operation!is!
necessary!when!the!sample!compartment!of!the!NucleoCounter!SCC0400!instrument!is!
contaminated.!

If!a!Rinse!has!indicated!that!the!sample!compartment!is!contaminated!beyond!certain!limit!
the!system!suggest!the!user!to!perform!a!Clean.!This!is!indicated!in!the!result!window!
when!the!Clean!button!turns!red,!and!at!the!same!time!the!status!indicator!on!the!
instrument!flashes!red!light.!When!this!occurs!it!is!recommended!that!about!1!mL!of!clean!
solution!is!introduced!at!the!sample!intake!and!Clean!operation!activated!by!either!
pressing!the!Clean!button!in!the!result!window,!or!by!pressing!and!holding!the!Run!button!
on!the!instrument!until!it!turns!red!and!then!releasing!it.!The!final!step!of!the!Clean!
operation!is!a!Rinse!operation,!which!serves!double!purpose,!firstly!to!neutralise!the!Clean!
solution!in!the!flow!system,!and!secondly!to!determine!if!the!Clean!operation!has!been!
successful.!!

NB!!!It!is!recommended!only!to!perform!Clean!when!the!system!suggests!it!as!excessive!
cleaning!might!damage!the!windows!of!the!sample!compartment!!

5.3.4 Barcode-Field-
The!Barcode!Field!can!be!used!to!enter!information!to!the!next!sample!to!be!measured.!
The!information!entered!in!the!text!field!will!be!entered!in!the!result!list.!The!Barcode!
button!activates!the!barcode!dialogue.!
