Model L:
This gage is identical to the Model R with the
exception that the total weight of the gage is less.
Accomplished by hollowing out, without
lessening the structural strength, the body of the
gage, the lighter gage has reduced inertia impor-
tant in measurements on moving substrates.
The lower the inertia, the less chance of the gage
skidding on initial contact with a moving surface.
