3. Press FORM to display the FORM menu.

4. Use

K and L to highlight LENGTH, and press SET.

5. Use

K and L to highlight FREE, and press SET.

• Since there are six options on this menu, they do

not all fit on a single screen. To view the two op-
tions at the bottom of the menu (FREE and CAN-
CEL), press

L four times.

6. Use

K and L to select B-LENGTH for the block

length setting screen, and press SET.

7. Use

H to decrease the current block length setting value or J to increase it.

• Note that the tape length at the top of the display also changes when you change the

block length.

• After setting the block length (and tape length), press SET to apply the setting and return

to the text input screen.

8. After making the setting, press SET to apply it.

The imager appears as illustrated below when you are using fixed block lengths.

Printing can be performed as specified.

Printing can be performed using the length specifed, but characters are con-
densed horizontally.

Printing cannot be performed as specified.
The error message “TEXT DOES NOT FIT!” appears on the display.

To cancel block length settings

1. Press FORM to display the FORM menu.

2. Use

K and L to highlight LENGTH, and press SET.
