are not what

The oven is not level.

tions.)

The oven temperature seems
too low or too high.

Adjust the oven temperature control.

The oven was not preheated

before baking.

Preheat oven when called for in
recipe.

The recipe has never been
tested or is not from a reliable
source.

Use only tested recipes from a
reliable source.

The pan used is not the type
or size recommended in the

recipe.

Refer to a reliable cookbook for
recommended pan type and size.

There is not proper air
circulation around pan when

baking.

Allow 1 Vz to 2 inches (4-5 cm) on all
sides of pan for air circulation. There

must be a minimum space of 1 inch
(2.5 cm).

The display
shows “PF”

There has been a power
failure.

Reset the clock. (See page 10.)

“F1” or “F3”
shows on the
display

Call for service. (See Step 3 on page 39.)
