CHICKEN PIECES RECIPE

Chicken Breasts with Lemon, Soy and Ginger

Cooking Time: About 6 - 8 minutes

2 skinless, boneless chicken breast

halves ( 6 oz. each)

V4 cup (50 mL) sliced onion

2 tbsp (30 mL) soy sauce

2 tsp (10 mL) lemon juice

2 tsp (10 mL) minced fresh ginger

garlic clove, minced

Curried Rice

2 tbsp (30 mL) butter or margarine

V3 cup (75 mL) chopped onions

V2 tsp (2 mL) garlic

V4 tsp (1 mL) turmeric

1 tsp (5 mL) curry powder

1 cup (250 mL) long grain rice

cups (425 mL) chicken broth or

bullion

^ 4 cup (50 mL) raisins

tbsp (30 mL) butter or margarine

cup (50 mL) chopped celery

cup (50 mL) chopped onion

cup (250 mL) sliced mushrooms

tsp (1 mL) turmeric

tsp (1-2 mL) salt

cup (250 mL) long grain rice

‘ / 4 cups (425 mL) chicken broth or

bullion

Put chicken in a small shallow baking
dish. Scatter onion over chicken.

Combine all remaining ingredients and

pour over chicken. Cover with plastic

wrap. Place in oven.

Cook on CHICKEN PIECES.
Turn over once after pause prompt

appears across the display.

Cooking Time: About 21 - 25 minutes

Melt butter in 2-quart microwave-safe

casserole, on PI00 about 30 seconds.

Add onions, garlic, turmeric, curry

powder and salt. Stir. Place in oven.

Cook on P100, 30 seconds.

Add rice, chicken stock and raisins. Stir.

Cover with casserole lid. Place in oven.

Cook on RICE.

Cooking Time; About 23 - 27 minutes

Melt butter in 2 quart microwave-safe

casserole, on P100 about 30 seconds.

Add celery, onions and mushrooms. Stir.

Cover with casserole lid. Place in oven.

Cook on PI 00, 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the turmeric and salt. Stir.

Add rice and chicken stock. Stir. Cover

with casserole lid. Place in oven. Cook

on RICE,

4-6 servings
