QUIET iVlCDE

Quiet Mode allows you to use the transmitter to temporarily arm or disarm the alarm without
chirps. By pressing Button if2 and then, within 10 seconds, pressing button #1, the alarm will

either arm or disarm without chirping for that one time only. When you arrive home at night
and want to arm your alanm without disturbing your neighbor, Quiet Mode lets you aim your car

without the awakening siren chirps.

2nd CHANNEL OUTPUT (optional)

Pressing button #2 of your transmitter for 3 seconds triggers the second channel output from

your alarm. This output can be used to operate optional accessories such as automatic boot

release, etc. This output is operable when the ignition key is OFF. Therefore, accidentally
pressing the 2nd button will not open the boot.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Your VS200GXR is an extremely reliable vehicle security system. In most cases, the
rare operational difficulties are the result of a weak transmitter battery or an open car
door. Below are guidelines for solving the majority of the problems you may
experience, if after foliovring these guidelines you have not found the problem,

contact your professional installer immediafely.

transmitter button is pressed for arming or disarming:

a. Check if the Red wire has pcv/er, white the Black wire is properly grounded.
b. Replace the transmitter battery and check the clips for proper polarity.

c. Check that all doors are closed.

2. Transmitter works in some areas and notin other areas:

This is probably due to excess RF activity in that area (usually just a short time and only while you

are in Uiat area, depending on the type of the activity), it is only temporary and won't affect the alarm
in other areas.

Alarm

sounds

for no apparent reason:

Be sure that the transmitter button is not being held dovm loo long, or something in your pocket or
purse is not pressing against the transmitter button. The receiver may also be picking up
interference Irom a nearby airport or military base, low-flying plane or other sources. Such
interference is temporary,

Alarm does nofarm manually or automatically but the doors niti lock/unlack when the

transmitter is pressed. When ignition is off, LED has a long flash (1.5 sec. on, 0.5 sec. oft).

When ignition ¡son, LED is oft.

A, The alarm was accidentally switched to valet mode,

Turn the ignition on, press the V.E.T. switch once, then turn the ignition off. Alarm can now be armed.

NOTE 1: If the alarm still does not function properly after checking the V.E.T. switch, consult the UNIDEN

dealer where you purchased the product for further advise.

NOTE 2: Under no circumstances should you make any repairs or adjustments to any component of the

transmitter or receiver. Unauthorized repairs or adjustments to any components will void the
warranty. However, you may change the transmitter battery by yourself, if needed, as shown
below.

CHANGING THE TRANSMITTER BATTERY

1. Unscrew the small screw from the transmitter's back.
2. Replace the battery, MAKE SURE THE POSITIVE AND

NEGATIVE BATTERY ENDS CORRESPOND
CORRECTLY TO THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE
BATTERY CLIPS.

3. Place back the front cover, taking care not to break the LED.
4. Place back the screw, turning it in tight enough to hold the case

together, but not so tight that the case cracks.
