Important Recording Points

• You can record on tape deck 1 only.

• You can record from any source other than tape deck 1, including tape

deck 2, the CD player, the tuner, and any properly connected auxiliary
sources such as a VCR or second cassette deck.

• The recording level is automatically adjusted. Adjusting volume,

balance, equalizer settings, bass boost, etc., will not affect recording.

• When you plan to record at the start of a cassette, advance the tape by

pressing PLAY, then press STOP/EJECT after 4 to 5 seconds have
passed. This prevents recording onto the cassette's “leader,” a blank
piece of tape at the start and end of every cassette.
