About your guides

Cleaning the printer

Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the
printer. Never use flammable solvents like
alcohol, benzene, thinner, etc.

If a flammable solvent contacts an
electrical component inside the
printer, this could cause a fire or
electric shock.

Always unplug the printer power cord before
you clean the printer.

If you mistakenly switch the printer
on while cleaning it, you could
touch moving components inside
the printer and suffer injury.

Maintaining the printer

Never attempt to disassemble or modify the
printer.

The printer contains high voltage
components which could cause a
fire or serious electric shock.

Working around the printer

Never use flammable sprays near the printer.

Gases in the spray could cause a
fire or electric shock if they come
in contact with electrical
components inside the printer.

Choosing a location

Never set the printer on a surface that is
unstable or subject to excessive vibration.

The printer could tip or fall and
cause injury.

Never use the printer in a location that is
subject to high humidity, dust, high
temperatures, or direct sunlight.

Set up and use the printer in a
location where ambient
temperature is within 5°C~35°C
(41°F~95°F) and 10%~90%
humidity with no condensation.

Never place the printer on a thick carpet or
rug.

Fibres or dust entering the printer
could cause a fire.

Keep the power outlet for the printer free of all
obstacles so you can unplug the power cord
at any time.

Such obstacles could prevent you
from unplugging the printer when
a printer fault occurs and cause a
fire or electric shock.
