INSTALLATION OF BEVEL SCALES
With blade installed and tensioned, locate two (2)
bevel scales among loose parts
Locate slit in paper backing on back side of scate.
Remove backing on the zero end of scale
While holding scale by the end still protected by
the backing, lightly position unprotected end in
the scale recess and slide it under the indicator
Align the zero mark with the indicator and press
the scale to the base.

TILT HEAD TO CLEAR SCALE
4, Loosen bevel lock knob located under the base
and tilt head away from scale
S Fold scale back and remove rernaining paper
backing Press entire scaie against base Smooth
out any wrinkles or air bubbles.
6. Repeat on opposite side
