Reattach the valve cover making sure the gasket

between the valve cover and cylinder head Is in

place. Start all four screws before tightening or you

will not be able to get all the screws in place.

Reattach the breather tube.

> Reattach the spark plug wire to the spark plug.

Retorque Head Bolts

After the first 50 hours of operation, you must retorque
the head bolts to 4.0 kg.-m. (22 ft.-lbs.)

Important: If you feel uncomfortable about doing this
procedure or you don’t have the proper tools, please

take your cleaning system in to the nearest service

center to have the valve clearance adjusted. This is a
very important step to insure the longest life for your

engine.

Note: Only perform this adjustment after first 50 hours

of operation. The head bolts will need no further

adjustment.

Remove the four (4) screws from the valve cover.

Remove the valve cover and gasket.

Torque the bolts to 4.0 kg-m (22 ft-lb).

Torque sequence is as follows: A, B, C, D, E (star

pattern).
