NOTICE
Installation must use approved CSA International down draft diverter supplied by Southbend.
If the oven flue is to be connected directly to an external vent, a down draft diverter must be installed. The installation
of ventilation pipes through walls and roofs must conform to all local codes. To install the down draft diverter, do the
following:
1. Slip the down draft diverter over the top of the flue located at the top left rear corner of the oven (see drawing below).
Allow the diverter to slide down as far as it will go.
2. Using a 9/64” or 5/32” drill bit, drill eight holes through the flue box using the pre-drilled holes in the diverter as a
guide.
3. Secure the diverter to the flue box using the #10 x 1/2 sheet metal screws shipped with the diverter.
