The Fast Charger is a battery charger for your printer's Nickel
Cadmium (NiCd) battery. It charges a battery within two hours after
initial charge, which may take longer depending on the state of the
battery. For optimum battery life, you must charge the battery when
the printer's LED/LCD indicates the battery is low.
Generally, you will charge the battery 300 - 500 times over the life of
the battery. Partially charging the battery causes this variation.
When you're not using or charging the battery, it loses 2 - 3% of its
charge daily. Also, extremely hot environments increase the
discharge rate and extremely cold environments decrease the
discharge rate. The battery loses its charge quicker if you store it
attached to a printer.
