General operations

Via the TMC receiver

Power is supplied via the TMC receiver
(e.g. in vehicle) by connecting the TMC
receiver to the vehicle battery using the
car adapter provided.

X

Insert the connector on the car adapter
into the socket marked “DC 5V” on
the TMC receiver.

Insert the adapter into the socket.

Antenna

GPS antenna

The folding GPS antenna is fitted to the
housing.

TMC antenna

The TMC antenna included in the
accessories is used to receive traffic
announcements.

Push the connector on the TMC
antenna into the socket marked
“ANT” on the TMC receiver without
employing excessive force.

Note:

If the engine is switched off, using
the vehicle's power supply through the
cigarette lighter will slowly drain
the vehicle battery! Do not therefore
operate the Traffic Assist Pro for exten-
ded periods with the engine off.

Note:

The TMC only functions in
combination with a power supply from
the TMC receiver.

Note:

If the cigarette lighter has recently been
used and is still hot, wait until the
lighter socket has cooled down.

Note:

If the engine is switched off, using
the vehicle's power supply through the
cigarette lighter will slowly drain
the vehicle battery! Do not therefore
operate the Traffic Assist Pro for exten-
ded periods with the engine off.

Note:

Align the antenna horizontally to
achieve the best GPS reception.
