AG-110H.
The AG-110H AcousticField amplifier tackles the very difficult problem of amplifying an
acoustic guitar with an electric pick-up. Acoustic guitar bodies radiate sound in all directions,
filling a listening room with lush phasing multi-source nodes of acoustically mixed sound. When
the same guitar is plugged into a conventional amplifier, the sound is directional and lacks the
“multi-source” rich sound radiation of the guitar’s body. Mono and stereo amplifiers generally
use phase shifting technology to product chorus effects as they attempt to “richen” the sterile
amplified sounds. These techniques often randomly cancel subtle “finger picking” and string
nuances as the chorus effect operates.
The AG-110H uses a unique rotary distributor to move the sound around in very subtle
(adjustable) ways, recreating the multi-source properties of the guitar body. Another benefit of
the moving rotary distributor is the creation of inherently “three dimensional” chorus effects
without losing sonic detail. A range of adjustments and a real mechanical spring reverb complete
the natural sound of the AG-110H AcousticField guitar amplifier.
