Contour

This control provides a shelving shift centered at 1200 Hz (center of most acoustic guitar sound)
and will boost highs while cutting lows (clockwise) or cut highs while boosting lows (counter-
clockwise).

The “5” position is flat frequency response. The contour is very useful for adjusting the
amplifier’s general response to accommodate a live or dead room.

Tone Controls

Set all tone controls to “5” which is flat frequency response. When adjusting tone, it helps to
periodically listen to your un-amplified guitar as a reference.

Base

Set at 150 Hz, this provides depth and body to the sound. Use no more than necessary as
feedback problems are increased and your tone may become muddy.

Middle

This is the heart of your acoustic sound and covers a range of 150-3 kHz. Start with this control
at “5” and vary the bass and treble controls. You later can adjust the middle for special tonal
effect to preference.

Treble

The treble control covers 3 to 20kHz. Treble increases bring out the sparkle and finger/string/pick
nuances of your guitar. Make small adjustments and listen carefully. Remember to occasionally
listen to your un-amplified guitar for reference.

Reverb

The Accutronics spring reverb produces a natural organic sound. You may set the volume to
taste (usually 2-5 and then experiment with the reverb tone control. The tone is a shelving control
centered at 800 Hz and provides frequency emphasis above and below that point. Listen carefully
and make small adjustments to refine your sound.

Sound

-what to expect-

The sound projection of the AG-110H is much different from standard amplifiers with front firing
speakers. These amplifiers compare to the directional beam of a spotlight. The AG-110H is like
the 360-degree diffuse radiation of an incandescent bulb. Sound in front of the AG-110H may
not seem as loud to you at first because it is being distributed around the room. Ceilings, floors
