Use the dropdown menus to tighten the search criteria, and press “Search” to display all files that meet the
search criteria:
The files found meeting the search requirements are displayed along with the XML metadata, such as Duration,
Title, Presenter, etc. The hot-link under the Windows column will launch Windows Media Player for playback
(requires an MPEG-4 plug-in). The Quicktime links will launch Quicktime, and the Other links present a page with
an RTSP link that may be used to start an RTSP session with some other client (e.g. VLC).
The nwayfiles.py utility is a Python script located in the “/home/nway/httpd/cgi-bin/” directory, and customers
should feel free to alter or adapt this script to suit their needs. A new logo, header text, etc. are easily changed in
the program. One customer used the framework of this program to enter file descriptions and other metadata into
the institutions SQL database for recorded media.
