21. To prevent the shaft from rusting, apply a light coat of vegetable or motor oil.

22. If you need to dismantle your kick wheel at anytime, we recommend you do not

remove the wheel head from the shaft. When you tighten the set screws on the wheel

head to the shaft, they make a slight indentation that will affect the trueness of the wheel

head if it is removed.

Maintenance

1. The bearings come pre-lubricated and do not need to be greased until they begin

to squeak. This is usually necessary every four or five years of average studio use. Be

careful not to over lubricate the bearings.
2. Re-coat the wooden surfaces as needed with a gloss marine varnish available at

most hardware stores.

Warranty

Skutt Ceramic Products, Inc. warrants this wheel to be free from defects in both materi-

als and workmanship for a period of 4 years from the date of purchase. Rental use is

excluded. This warranty is void if this wheel has been misused, abused or damaged by

accident or neglect or repaired or modified by anyone other than Skutt or our specifically

authorized agent.
For repairs this wheel must be packed and returned to Skutt via insured freight by the

customer at their expense. The repaired wheel will be returned freight collect. The cus-

tomer is responsible for all freight charges to and from Skutt.
This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable. This warranty

expires on the fourth anniversary of the shipment date. This warranty is exclusive and

is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including without limitation, war-

ranties or merchantability and fitness for particular purpose, all other representations to

the first user purchase and all other obligations or liabilities, including liability for inci-

dental and consequential damages. Skutt Ceramic Product, Inc. liability in all cases is

limited to the replacement price of its product. This warranty gives you specific rights.
