Glossary

If, for another example, you want to make calls using the phone book in
networks with different area codes, you have to store the phone numbers
with at least the area code.

Tip

If you want to make calls using the phone book in different networks
but you are not sure how to store the phone numbers, it is advised
to store the phone numbers in full, with international access code,
country code, etc. The cordless phone will automatically detect
which part of the phone book number should be dialled.

Specifying “Own line settings”

The procedure below assumes, as an example, that your own phone
number is: 00 31 20-1234567. This number consists of:
00 = international access code; 31= country code; 20 = area code
(without first zero); 123 = PBX prefix; 4567 = extension number. The
external line prefix is 0.

Tip

It is advised to fill in all own line settings, to guarantee that dialling
will function properly in all networks.
