 After cleaning, check that the spots to be glued are clean, dry and fat-free.
 Roughen the smooth surfaces.

8.2.4

Gluing techniques

To be able to attach different materials in an optimal manner by gluing, the following two
gluing techniques are recommended:
 Glue lines in a zig-zag pattern for flexible materials such as textiles.
 Spot-gluing should be used for all other materials.
 After applying glue to both sides of the working pieces, immediately press them together

for approximately 30 seconds.

 Continue to apply pressure to all glued spots for another five minutes, for instance by

weighing them down.

8.3

Working with the mains cable

Work with a mains cable, if you want to glue several spots in succession.
 Adjust the tool and the support bracket (10). Pivot the footstand (8) until the stop is

reached, for a more stable postioning.

 Connect your glue gun to power and let it heat up for at least 4 minutes.
 Pull the trigger back towards the handle (4), for pushing the hot-melt stick further into the

heating duct and for pushing the fluid blew through the nozzle.

 Glue working pieces.

8.4

Working without the mains cable

Work without

mains cable if …

- you only want to glue a single or a few spots
- are planning complicated gluing procedures, which require that you would turn off the tool in
between.
 Position the tool in the loading station (6). Please make sure that the nozzle is positioned

precisely over the drip tray (6c)

 Connect the loading station (6) and let the tool heat up for a maximum of 4 minutes.
 Release the tool with the ejection button (6b) from the loading station and pick up the glue

gun.

 As soon as the hot-melt glue is no longer sufficiently fluid, reinsert the tool in the loading

station (6) and heat it up once more.

8.5

Changing the nozzle

Danger of burns ! The hot-melt glue and the nozzle reach temperatures of
up to 200°C. Before nozzles can be exchanged, you must turn off the tool
and let it cool off for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

 Pull out the mains plug.
 Screw off the nozzle (1) at the front of the tool
If you are unable to unscrew the nozzle by hand : Remove the rubber cap from the nozzle and
unscrew it with the provided spanner.
 Screw in a different nozzle (1) into the thread and up to the stop. When screwing in the

nozzle, make sure it is positioned correctly.
