7 ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR LASERS

Warning! The laser beam potentially causes severe eye damage. Never look
or stare directly into the laser beam.

During use, do not point the laser beam at people, directly or indirectly through reflecting
surfaces.
This laser complies with class 2 according to EN 60825-1:2001. The unit includes no servicing
components. Do not open the housing for any reason. If the unit is damaged, have the
damage repaired by an authorized repair agent.

8 ASSEMBLY

 Mount the stand.
 Mount the table.
 Mount the head.
 Mount the safety guard.
 Mount the chuck.
 Remove the anti-corrosive oil on the uncovered metal parts using a cloth and a little

parrafin oil. Proceed with greasing the parts with machine lubricating oil.

8.1

Mounting the stand (fig. 1)

Install the foot (11) on a level and solid surface.
 Slide the foot over the pillar (12) in the orientation as shown.
 Mount the pillar using the fasteners (13).

8.2

Mounting the table (fig. 2 - 4)

 Place the toothed rack (14) against the toothed wheel (15) on the inside of the support

bracket (16) as shown.

 Slide the support bracket over the pillar (12) while holding the toothed rack in position.
 Push the toothed rack fully downward.
 Slide the spherical ring (17) over the pillar (12) with the wider opening facing downward to

make sure that the top end of the toothed rack (14) is locked. Tighten the lock screw (18).

 Place the height adjustment handle (19) onto the spindle (20) and tighten the screw (21).

8.3

Mounting the head (fig. 5 & 6)

 Place the head (22) on the top of the pillar (12).
 Firmly tighten the Allen screws (23) to keep the head in place.
 Place the height adjustment wheel (24) onto the shaft (25) and tighten the screw (26).
 Screw the knobs (27) onto the wheel.

8.4

Mounting the safety guard (fig. 7)

 Mount the safety guard (7) onto the collar (28).
 Secure the guard by tightening the clamp screw (29).
