Mounting the chuck (fig. 8 & 9)

 Open the safety guard (7).
 Slide the chuck spindle (30) into the drive spindle.

The chuck (6) must be removed when working with cone drills. In order to remove the chuck,
proceed as follows:
 Open the safety guard (7).
 Lower the chuck until the hole in the drive spindle (31) becomes visible. Hold the chuck in

this position.

 Raise the table until it is approximately 2 cm below the chuck.
 Turn the chuck by hand to align the hole in the drive spindle with the holes in the feed

spindle.

 Release the chuck by driving the wedge (32) into the hole in the drive spindle.

8.6

Inserting and removing a drill (fig. 10)

 Open the safety guard (7).
 Open the chuck (6).
 Insert the drill into the chuck.
 Fasten the chuck by hand.
 Fasten the chuck firmly by inserting the chuck key in one of the holes in the side of the

chuck and turning it clockwise.

 Shut the safety guard.
 In order to remove a drill, proceed in reverse order.

Before inserting or removing a drill, always pull the plug from the wall
socket.

8.7

Setting the depth stop (fig. 11)

The depth stop is used to set the maximum drilling depth.
 Set the required drilling depth by rotating the depth stop wheel (33) to the defined value.

8.8

Adjusting the table (fig. 12)

The table can be height-adjusted, turned and toppled.

Height adjustment:
 Slacken the locking handle (34).
Turn the handle (19) to adjust the table (5) to the required height.
 Tighten the locking handle.

Turning:
 Slacken the locking handle (34).
 Turn the table (5) to the required position.
 Tighten the locking handle.

Toppling:
 Slacken the locking screw (35).
 Topple the table (5) to the required position.
 Tighten the locking screw.

8.9

Adjusting the table extenders (fig. 13)

Using the table extenders you can support long workpieces.
 Slacken the wing nuts (36).
 Slide the extender (37) outward.
 Tighten the wing nut.
