7. Align laterally so that no element protrudes to the right or left.
8. Once installed you should make sure that the cutters are sitting properly in their sites. To
do so, use the blade-adjusting device provided with the appliance.
9. Re-tighten the five screws of the spacer holder
10. To install new cutters: proceed as above but use new cutters.
7.7 Using the blade adjuster (Fig I)
 Position the adjusting tool on the surface of the outfeed table
 Make sure the adjusting device is flat on the table surface.
 Apply pressure to one side of the tool on the cutter until it is positioned at the desired
depth.
!! Handle the blades carefully to avoid risk of accidents. Do not touch the
blades with your fingers.
7.8 Installing chip extractors
ATTENTION !!!!!!
This machine is delivered with chip extractors. These extractors have slots that
deactivate the cutter safety system. If the extractor (varies according to use, i.e., either
as jointer or planer) is not in place or is placed incorrectly it is impossible to use the
appliance.
A
– In jointer mode (Fig J) :
a : Slots that deactivate the safety system and allow the appliance to start
b : Slots for attaching the chip extractor to the body of the appliance
Chip extractor for using the appliance in jointer mode.
To install the chip extractor in jointer mode you must:

1.
Adjust the work table to low position
2. Insert the chip extractor to a good angle below the table of the jointer (as indicated in Fig
K)
3. Locate each slot described in the diagram above in order to insert them in the openings
provided.
4. Make sure the extractors are firmly in place.

Return the worktable back to high position using the height adjusting knob until the
extractor and the slots that deactivate the safety system touch the contact.
6. This operation is indispensable for starting up the appliance.
7. The appliance is now running. You may use it in accordance with the instructions for use.

– In planing mode :
Chip extractor for use of the appliance in planer mode.

a : Clamping screw
b : Contact
To install the chip extractor in planing mode you must remove the protective parallel guide.
Localise the clamping screw and align this screw with the opening (as shown in fig N).
After alignment turn the clamp screw until it is completely blocked (Fig. O).
