j  Set the time as described in the section on
“Setting the time”.
Q   Replacing the picture
note: The optimum picture format is 20 x 25 cm.
You should use a standard photo format of
20 x 30 cm and trim the picture to 20 x 25 cm.
j  Place the scale with the platform 2 facing
downwards on to a soft, scratch-proof surface.
j  Turn the catches 9 as shown in Fig. C I and
open the flap 8 .
j  Remove the originally supplied picture.
j  Insert the desired photo.
j  Close the flap 8 and turn the catches 9 as
shown in Fig. C II.
Q   Switching on your scales /
measuring your weight
Tip: Weigh yourself at the same time of day
(preferably in the morning) after visiting the toilet,
with an empty stomach and without clothing to
ensure that your results are compatible.
j  Place the scales down on a solid, flat horizon-
tal surface.
j  Do not place the scales on a carpet, otherwise
this may influence the results. If necessary you
can place a board on the carpet and place the
scales upon this. A solid floor covering is re-
quired in order to achieve correct weight meas-
urements.
j  Place a foot briefly, firmly and clearly audibly
on to the platform
2 . If present, the time dis-
play disappears. The self-setting symbol
appears briefly in the LC display 1 (see Fig.
D I). Then the value appears (see Fig. D II).
j  The scale is now ready to measure your
weight.
note: Ensure that the scale is always switched
on first and wait until the value
appears in the
LC display before you step on the platform 2 .
Otherwise the value “ ” appears in the LC
display 1 .
j  Place even weight on each leg.
j  If at all possible stand on the same area of the
platform
2 each time and do not move. Mov-
ing during the weighing process can lead to
discrepancies in the results.
The scale starts immediately with the measure-
ment. The measured weight appears in the
LC display, as shown in Fig. D III.
j  When the displayed weight flashes twice, the
measurement is complete.
note: The scale is overloaded if the display
shows “
”. Do not exceed the maximum
load capacity of 150 kg (330 lb / 23 st).
j  Step off the platform 2 . The scale switches off
automatically after about 10 seconds. If the
time function is switched on, then the time
appears in the LC display

Q  Using the scale as a
picture frame
When using the scale as a picture frame, you have
the options of mounting the scale on a wall or
standing it up on the stand

Mounting the device on a wall:
m CaUTIon! Check that the selected wall is
suitable for attaching the product before you start
mounting it.

the wall for concealed cables.

mounting, check the wall for concealed water pipes.
note: To complete this step will require an electric
drill.

j  Now insert the desired picture into the scale as
described in the section on “Replacing the
picture”.
j  Mark the positions of the drilled holes on the
wall (spacing: 16 cm).
