• Regularly check the mains cable 5 for

damage.

• If the mains cable 5 for this appliance is

damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or a person with similar
qualifications in order to avoid a
hazard. The contact data can be found in
“Service Centre” on page 10.

• Never insert fingers or any objects

through the protective guard 7 into the
inside of the appliance.

• Never touch the appliance, the mains

cable 5 or the mains plug with wet
hands.

• Always unplug the mains cable 5 by

gripping the plug. Never pull on the
cable itself.

• Make sure that the mains cable 5 is not

kinked or squashed.

• Make sure that the mains cable 5 is not

damaged on sharp edges.

• Keep the mains cable 5 away from hot

surfaces such as the top of a stove.

• Make sure that the mains cable 5 is not

touching the appliance or in the
radiated zone.

• Avoid using extension cables. An

extension cable may only be used under
very specific conditions:
– the extension cable must be suitable

for the current rating of the appliance;

– the extension cable must be routed

across surfaces or the floor (not
allowed to hang in mid air); ensure
the cable is out of the reach of
children and does not pose a tripping
hazard;

– never use a damaged extension

cable;

– do not connect any other appliances

to the mains socket as this could
overload the mains supply (do not use
multi-sockets).

• The appliance must not be operated

with an external time switch or separate
remote control system, such as a wireless
remote control socket.

4.4 Protection against the danger of fire

Warning! As the appliance
works at high temperatures, please
observe the following safety
information to prevent fire.

• While the appliance is operating, there

must be no flammable objects (e.g.
curtains, paper) in the immediate vicinity
of the appliance.

• Never use the appliance to dry textiles

or other items on, over or in front of the
appliance.

• The appliance gets very hot during

operation. Make sure that flammable
material cannot be blown into or onto
the appliance.

• To avoid overheating, the appliance must

never be covered.

• Only mount the appliance using the

supplied fastening bracket 10, to ensure
the necessary distance from the rear wall.

• Ensure sufficient distance from the wall

(min. 50 cm at the sides), ceiling (min. 20
cm), floor (min. 1.8 m), fixtures (min. 1 m)
or other appliances (min. 1 m), to prevent
damage or the risk of fire.

• Never operate the appliance in rooms

where there is a risk of explosion or in the
vicinity of flammable gases or liquids.

• The appliance must never be placed

immediately beneath a wall socket, as
the heat it generates could damage the
electrical installation.
