• Always check that air can freely enter

and escape. Heat might otherwise build
up inside the appliance.

• Never leave the appliance running

when it is unattended. The presence of
odour is almost always an indication of
damage. If you notice any such odour,
unplug the mains plug immediately and
have the appliance inspected. The
contact data can be found in “Service
Centre” on page 10.

4.5 Protection against injury

Warning! To avoid injury, please
observe the following information.

• Make sure that no one can trip over, get

caught in or step on the mains cable 5.

• The appliance gets very hot during

operation:
– Therefore never touch it when it is on:

– Never adjust the swivel angle during

operation. If you need to alter the
angle, wait for the appliance to cool
down.

– The protective guard 7 takes a few

minutes to cool down completely.

– Never touch the infrared tubes 2.

4.6 For the safety of your child

Warning! Children often cannot
assess dangers correctly and are
injured as a result. Please therefore
observe the following:

• This product may only be used under

adult supervision to ensure that children
do not play with the appliance.

• Always take care to ensure the

appliance is kept out of the reach of
children at all times.

• Ensure that the packing foil does not

become a deadly trap for a child.
Packing foils are not toys.

5. Unpacking and installing

Note As the appliance and heating
elements are supplied with a thin film of
grease, there might be a small amount of
smoke and odour the first time the appliance
is used. This is not harmful and will stop after
a short while. Please ensure in the meantime
that there is sufficient ventilation.

5.1 Unpacking the appliance

1. Take the appliance out of the

packaging.

2. Remove the transport packaging.
3. Carefully remove the foam strips from

the protective guard 7.

4. Check that the appliance shows no signs

of damage.

5.2 Fixing to the wall

Warning! To prevent damage or
the risk of fire:
– Ensure a sufficient distance from

the wall (min. 50 cm at the
sides), ceiling (min. 20 cm),
floor (min. 1.8 m), fixtures (min.
1 m) or other appliances (min. 1
m).

– Only use the fastening bracket 10

provided for fixing the appliance
to the wall, to ensure the necessary
distance from the rear wall.
