Both DVD discs and video CDs have the material recorded in the PAL and NTSC systems. Refer to the table below to select the
correct disc type for the type of connected TV.

The use of a multi-system TV
is recommended.

Images playback in black and white. The images may also be dis-
torted or may overlap at the bottom of the screen.

Specify the settings for the type of TV connected (4:3, 16:9).

When viewed on a 4:3 TV, the images appear compressed horizon-
tally.
