The log below is output in the mode in which the EMA SUPPRESS SWITCH was
pressed.
Whether the EMA SUPPRESS SWITCH was pressed therefore can be confirmed using
a show logging or show logging standby command. The log below is output when the
EMA SUPPRESS SWITCH is released.
In this case, mode can be switched.
6.7.4 Precautions during RM Ethernet operation
Different MAC addresses are set in the active and standby RM Ethernets of the
router. Access therefore becomes impossible until the connection destination ARP or
NDP table of the router is refreshed when mode switching occurs during operation.
In this case, connection becomes possible again by manually clearing the connection
destination ARP table or NDP table. If mode switching occurs when the user logs in
using RM Ethernet, the connection is disconnected and an ARP or NDP table is
refreshed. After that, the user logs in to a new active mode when he logs in again.

The active EMA SUPPRESS switch may have been pressed
when the status is "EMA SUPPRESS enable".
The standby EMA SUPPRESS
switch may have been pressed
when the standby state is
"standby" and when EMA SUP-
PRESS LED lights in yellow.
