Step 4.

Register the CPU fan swap date and restart the new standby BCU:

This procedure is required only when the standby CPU fan has been
replaced or the standby BCU has been replaced. Register the CPU fan swap
date in accordance with Figure 8-12 and Figure 8-13.

Figure 8-13 shows the procedure for setting of CPU fan swap date.

If Figure 8-13 does not show the CPU fan swap date correctly, retry the procedure
from Step 1.

After updating the CPU fan replacement date, the startup slot setting only is
initialized if a new BCU is installed. This procedure is not required if only the CPU
fan is replaced. An example of startup slot initialization is shown in Figure 8-14.

Register the CPU fan swap date in accordance with Figure 8-13.

Install the MC card on the standby BCU RM-I/O board from the operation terminal.

Connect the device management terminal to the standby BCU’s RM-I/O board.

Restart the standby BCU by the command below to be entered from the device
management terminal.

Rom: date

Rom: date YYYYMMDDhhmm

YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:00

Rom: cpufan enable

Rom: cpufan

cpufan timer enable at YYYY/MM/DD

Rom:

1.Displays the present date and time. When the date
or time is not correct, go to next step.

2.Displays the specified date and time.The time that
this command is entered becomes the CPU fan swap
date.

3.Enables the CPU fan and registers the date of this
command input as the CPU fan swap date.
4.Sees if the CPU fan swap date is correctly regis-
tered.

5.Displays the registered CPU fan swap date.

6.If the registered CPU fan swap date is not correct,
repeat the above steps.
