ELECTRICAL SERVICE RECEPTACLES

The receptacles located on the exterior back of the
merchandisers are intended for scales and other
light duty appliances that are found in meat and
delicatessen departments. The receptacles are not
intended for large motors.

REPLACING FLUORESCENT LAMPS

Fluorescent lamps are furnished with moisture
resistant lamp holders and end caps. Lamps on
lighted shelves have plastic shields. Whenever a
fluorescent lamp is replaced, be certain to re-
install the plastic shields and end caps.

REPLACING LAMP HOLDERS AND
END CAPS

The Hussmann Impact lamp holder is designed to
snap into the sheet metal of the case. The lamp
holder has a locking ‘nub’ which fits inside the
groove of specially designed end caps.

IMPORTANT!

Always replace lamp holders and end caps with
Hussmann lamp holders and end caps.

Use of non-Hussmann parts may result in poor
electrical contact and short lamp life.

Fluorescent lamps contain mercury vapor.
Mercury exposure at high levels can harm
the brain, heart, kidneys, lungs, and immune
system of people of all ages. Do not break or
puncture fluorescent lamps. Dispose of, or
store, all fluorescent lamps in accordance
with Federal (40 CFR 273), State, and local
hazardous waste requirements. Refer to
