The throttle friction knob adjusts
resistance to throttle grip rotation.

Less friction allows easier throttle
grip rotation. More friction helps to
hold a steady throttle setting while
cruising.

The gearshift lever is used to select F
(forward), N (neutral), or R (reverse)
gears.

The gearshift lever must be in the F
(forward) position before the throttle
grip can be turned to the FAST
position.

The power trim/tilt switch is rocker
switch with UP and DN (down)
positions for changing the angle of
the outboard motor.

You can use the power trim/tilt
switch anytime the ignition switch is
ON, whether the boat is underway or
stopped.

The engine can only be started with
the gearshift lever in the N (neutral)
position.
