• Using a slotted screwdriver, turn each lock fastener in the hood
1 / 4 turn to the locked position.
IMPORTANT! Remember to keep the lock fasteners locked at all times
to prevent children from accessing the vehicle battery compartment.
Brush Guard
• Insert the tabs on the rear edge of the hood into the slots in the
front of the dashboard.
• Pull the hood forward. Lower the hood closed.

• Insert a hood latch into each slot in the front end of the vehicle.
• Turn each hood latch a
1 / 4 turn to fit in place. Pull up on the hood
latches to be sure they are secure.

• Fit the brush guard to the front end of the vehicle.
Hint: Using the end of a Phillips screwdriver, poke a hole in the thin
plastic covering over the lower holes in the brush guard.
• Insert two #10 x 1" screws through the lower holes in the brush
guard and into the front end of the vehicle. Tighten the screws.
