Installing and removing drives

The casing can accommodate a total of seven drives:

three accessible drives
(two 5¼" drives and one 3½" drive)

four non-accessible drives
(3½" drives)

"Accessible drives" are e.g. DVD or CD ROM drives, into which a data carrier can be inserted from
outside. Non-accessible drives are e.g. hard disk drives.

Serial ATA drives and SCSI drives
You can install S-ATA drives or SCSI drives/SAS drives (Serial Attached SCSI drives) in your device.
Your device is equipped with corresponding adapter cables. S-ATA drives are supported by default
(refer also to the manual for the mainboard). Mixed equipment is also possible. When simultaneously
installing S-ATA hard disks and SCSI hard disks, you must ensure the proper assignment of the
cables to the corresponding connectors.

On the CELSIUS M the connector P11 is located behind the cover of the power supply.
When changing the hard disk equipment, you must remove the cover (see "Removing
cover of power supply (CELSIUS M)").

For CELSIUS M only:
The internal wiring of your device is shown in the following wiring diagrams.
