Mail forwarding in general
Mail Properties tab
The Mail Properties tab provides fields for the mail server. The mail server
is an SMTP server.

With alarm forwarding in ServerView V6.20 or later, MAPI is no
longer supported. Only SMTP servers are still used. If during an
upgrade the mail service is addressed via MAPI, a warning is
issued. During the setup, all MAPI destinations are changed to
SMTP. The settings for the SMTP server must then be configured
in the
Alarm Configuration component.
The input fields in the Mail Properties window have the following
meanings:
Name Meaning
From Sender (SMTP)
Server SMTP server (SMTP)
User
(optional) User name (SMTP)
Password
(optional) Identification of the mailing system
(optional with SMTP)
Confirm
Password
(optional) Confirm the password
(optional with SMTP)
Port Port number (SMTP)
The default value is Port 25
