This feature enables and disables the speakerphone
function.

You can set up the Digital Set to use the handset,
the speaker, or a headset by selecting from the
following modes:

Enables use as a headset-only phone. You must
disconnect the handset from the jack on the phone’s
left side and plug the headset into the same jack.
Calls are connected and disconnected only by your
pressing the SPKR button. In headset mode, the
handsfree mode, including the speaker/
microphone, is not supported.

Enables normal use as a handset phone. While in
this mode, the speaker can be enabled or disabled
as follows:

Allows speaker use, controlled by SPKR button.
