5.3 MO Disks
Only 3.5-inch MO disk that complies with ISO or GIGAMO standards can be
used for the DynaMO.
The following is a list of 3.5-inch MO disk capacities. These 3.5-inch MO disks
are manufactured and distributed by several manufacturers.
ISO standard:
• 128MB MO Disk
• 230MB MO Disk
• 540MB MO Disk
• 540MB Over Write (OW) MO Disk
• 640MB MO Disk
• 640MB Over Write (OW) MO Disk
GIGAMO:
• 1.3GB MO Disk
What is the Over Write (OW) MO disk?
Standard MO disk requires three rotations of the disk to record the data (erase,
write and verify). OW disks allow your DynaMO to reduce the number of the
rotations to two (write and verify). Reducing one rotation improves the
recording speed by 30%. OW disks are only available in 540MB and 640MB
capacities.
Notice:
A GIGAMO (1.3GB MO disk) can be used only on the
DynaMO 1300FE. No GIGAMO can be used on the
DynaMO 640FE.
