Using the Optional Car Cord Adapter/Charger
This adapter/charger lets you power your camcorder from the cigarette lighter socket of
a car, truck, or RV. It converts 24- or 12-volts to a 6.5-volt output. It can also charge
the battery that came with your camcorder. Consult the operating instructions
enclosed with the DCC05.
Tip: The battery level indicator has no
meaning when you power the camcorder with
the optional car cord adapter/charger. 1. Slide the OPEN-BATT button to open
the battery compartment. Carefully
open the compartment fully.
2. Plug one end of the DC power cord
into the DC OUT jack on the car cord
adapter/charger and the other end into
the DC IN 6.5V jack on the side of the
camcorder.
3. Close the battery compartment.
4. Insert the DCC05’s plug into the
vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket.
The POWER indicator on the DCC05
will light.
Cautions: The DCC05 is designed to be
used only with vehicles having negative
ground electrical systems.
Do not use any other car cord with this
camcorder. Other car cords may damage
your camcorder and void your warranty.
Make sure the camcorder’s power is turned
off before removing the car cord’s plug from
the cigarette lighter socket.

Using DCC05 to Charge the Battery
1. Remove DC power cord if it is
attached.
2. Attach battery as shown to the right.
3. Insert the DCC05’s plug into the
cigarette lighter socket.
Tip: POWER indicator on the DCC05 lights.
